The Civista Health Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to raise funds through special events, memorial and planned gifts, individual and corporate donations, and an annual campaign. The foundation encourages charitable giving to support Civista Medical Center in its mission to provide the community with a full range of health care services.

Our Mission
The mission of the Civista Health Foundation is to significantly enhance the Medical Center's financial resources so that it may continue to provide excellent health care services to all members of the community.

Leaving a Legacy
A gift in your will or living trust can establish a living legacy. A gift of excess retirement funds, such as pension plans or IRAs, also may allow you to give more while eliminating taxes that would otherwise diminish these assets. Gifts of life insurance that has fulfilled its original purpose also can offer excellent tax benefits.

A policy originally purchased to protect a loved one that no longer needs that protection can be an excellent way to make a gift in honor of that person. Gifts that provide an income can be a tax effective way to provide you and/or a designee with regular payments for life.

Gifts of Cash
Gifts of cash and check are the most popular methods of giving. Such gifts are convenient and tax deductible.

Gifts of Property
Gifts also can be made with assets such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds that have increased in value. Donors can receive regular tax savings and can avoid capital gains tax on assets given for charitable use.
